Clearing App Cache: General Information
The app cache stores chats, contacts, and viewed files. Clearing the cache may help in the following cases:
- Free up space on the device: outdated data will be deleted, while relevant data will be reloaded from the server if needed.
- Fix errors in the app's internal encrypted storage.
- Resolve issues related to login, updates, freezing, or incorrect message status display.
- Fix errors in the operation of Smart Apps and other features.
Data is only deleted locally on the device where the cache was cleared. It is not permanently lost and can be reloaded from the server if necessary.
You can clear the cache manually on the device yourself. Alternatively, contact your organization's support team for remote cache clearing via the admin panel.
