In recent years, many Russian companies have faced the need to migrate from foreign corporate communications IT solutions to domestic equivalents. The departure of international vendors from the market, the risk of support interruptions, and information security concerns have pushed businesses to seek domestic products that would guarantee the continuity of business processes, compliance with Russian legal requirements regarding data protection, and technological independence.
System integrator Mobius Technologies wasn't just looking for domestic alternatives—the company was searching for a unified platform that would comprehensively address all corporate communications challenges. Instead of selectively replacing one tool with another, the company decided to rebuild the entire communications system. As a result, eXpress was chosen, and it took employees just one day to master the platform.
Why the business needed a new communications platform
Mobius Technologies is a systems integrator, service provider, IT equipment manufacturer, and software developer. It has been operating in the Russian and CIS markets for over 12 years. It provides technical support, implementation of business solutions and AI projects, and technology consulting at the hardware, system, and application levels.
Our team of highly qualified IT engineers, architects, and consultants has experience working with both international and Russian vendors. The company's in-house R&D department encompasses the full cycle of high-tech solutions—from design to mass production of tape libraries, server hardware, data storage systems, network switches, smart panels, and other equipment.
For corporate communications, Mobius Technologies used a stack of several solutions—for chats, work planning, and video conferencing. However, the company wanted a comprehensive solution—selecting a single, domestic platform for its communications with a clear and manageable architecture and the ability to integrate it into the existing IT landscape. Mobius Technologies tested various products—cloud and self-hosted options, open-source and ecosystem solutions. At the same time, the company analyzed its experience with various corporate platforms, as well as public messaging apps, including Telegram.
As a result, the company chose the Russian corporate communications platform eXpress.
Why eXpress
The key advantages that determined its choice were a unified space for chats, calls, video conferencing, and access to internal systems, integration with the corporate user directory, email, and calendar, complete data control, and the ability to integrate with DLP and SIEM systems.
Employee onboarding was also a key factor in the transition. Mobius Technologies particularly praised eXpress's intuitive interface and the vendor's high-quality support. Thanks to the interface logic, which is close to familiar scenarios, the company was able to quickly transition employees to the new environment and maintain the rhythm of daily work communications.
Implementation and Results
In 2026, the messenger was launched company-wide – more than 200 employees. Thanks to the coordinated work of the Mobius Technologies and eXpress teams, the transition went as smoothly as possible.
- Employees learned to use the new solution in just one day, thanks to its clear interface and similar operating logic to popular services.
- Budget and resource savings – eliminating a "zoo" of applications in favor of a single solution.
- 100% of users online – all company employees actively use the platform for work communications, and some also for personal communication with external users (partners, customers, etc.).
- Bot migration – using a special migration mechanism, corporate technical support bots (including monitoring) were successfully migrated from Telegram to the secure eXpress space.
Looking at the project as a whole, Mobius Technologies achieved several benefits at once: increased control over data and infrastructure, reduced the number of disparate applications, migrated important service scenarios to a secure environment, and quickly achieved full user coverage.
Solution Development Prospects within the Company
Mobius Technologies plans to further implement eXpress SmartApps (mini-applications for accessing internal systems in the messenger interface) and chatbots based on eXpress's BotX technology in its communications infrastructure.
Prospects for Technological Partnership
The systems integrator is ready to scale its experience implementing the Russian messenger eXpress to other companies seeking to create a secure communication space. To this end, Mobius Technologies and eXpress announced a partnership at the 11th conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR), which was held in Nizhny Novgorod. Under the agreement signed at CIPR-2026, Mobius Technologies specialists will organize software testing for customers, ensure implementation, and assist with data migration.
