For the second year in a row, the eXpress platform has been the leader in the corporate messenger rating from the IT marketplace Market.CNews, and this is just the beginning - the product is actively developing and improving. In an interview with Market.CNews, eXpress CEO Andrey Vratsky spoke about the results of the outgoing year and shared plans for the near future for both the company and the product.
In 2023, the company doubled in all indicators: revenue, number of clients, number of users. This is also due to the fact that customers understand that business information should not leave the company's digital circuit, so they are increasingly transferring online communications from public messengers to corporate ones. But this trend is developing gradually, rather in evolutionary steps than revolutionary ones.
Today, a Russian client needs a solution that will include chat, video conferencing, and mail. Nobody needs just a messenger, what is important is an ecosystem that includes a large set of functions.
From a technical point of view, the Federation concept is currently in the lead. This is an opportunity to communicate in the application not only within the company, but also with external users of the same messenger, as well as users of other organizations (contractors, partners). The eXpress platform was the first in the world to implement such functionality, and at the moment there are almost a million users in the eXpress Federation, and this figure will grow.
Mobility is important to everyone. Therefore, another powerful trend in the market, important for the customer, is smart apps. As an approach to application development, smart apps have already won, and those who have chosen this technology will confirm this.
When creating smart apps, they are divided into "thick" (a full-fledged Web application that needs to be developed, eXpress learned to work with such last year) and "thin" (an existing Web format to which it is enough to attach our connectors, this is one of the achievements of 2023). The next step is "thin" no-code smart apps without the participation of developers, only by engineers, which will further simplify the process of their creation.
The eXpress architecture is built on the principles of complete security. In 2020, the first FSTEC certificate was received for the 6th trust level, in 2023 - for the 4th level. The availability of FSTEC certificates and GOST encryption enables customers to process personal data and commercial secrets in applications based on the eXpress platform.
To date, the largest eXpress implementation in terms of the number of users is Russian Railways, where the application is used by several hundred thousand people. Rosatom is the leader in terms of the number of smart apps in the application and the availability of functionality for users. Norilsk Nickel is the record holder for the share of employees who have switched to the platform in a short time. Thanks to the transfer of important company services to the platform, more than half of all employees have installed the Supernika corporate application based on eXpress in just six months.
