Not all employees want to come back after remote work to the offices. Yes, and employers themselves have seen that the ability to work in an office that fits in their own smartphone opens up never-before-seen opportunities to increase the productivity of these employees. Andrey Vratsky, SEO of the corporate communications and mobility platform eXpress, told TAdviser about how the corporate mobility trend is developing before our eyes.
TAdviser: According to analysts, the Russian market for corporate mobility solutions demonstrates impressive growth rates: in 2020 - 20-30% per year, in 2021 more than 60%. Mobile developers outperformed all other segments of the IT market in terms of growth dynamics. What do you attribute this growth in popularity of corporate mobility to?
ANDREY VRATSKIY: Once upon a time - in pre-Soviet times - in corporations it was believed that the employee's workplace was at the computer in the office. At best, behind the keyboard of a corporate laptop, if we talk about managers.
As we remember, then the pandemic shifted the focus to remote work. And in the post-pandemic period that we are now experiencing, it has become apparent to many corporations that employees are constantly on the move, even if they work in a traditional or home office. Accordingly, the demand for work mobility is growing. The trend that Gartner analysts call "Anywhere Operations" is gaining momentum. It implies the ability to work wherever an employee is located, using any device that he holds in his hands - a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
