Andrey Vratsky, founder and CEO of the eXpress corporate communications platform, took part in a discussion at the TNF 2026 Industrial and Energy Forum, held in Tyumen from September 14 to 17.
On the second day of the forum, September 15, with the support of the Association of Major Consumers of Software and Equipment, a debate brought together representatives of software customers, integrators and vendors. The discussion was titled “Technological Sovereignty of IT Infrastructure: Speed Versus Manageability — Is a Compromise Possible?” Renata Abdullina, chair of the Association, initiated and moderated the discussion.
Alongside IT leaders from SIBUR Connect, Rosatom Critical Information Technologies, Surgutneftegas, Gazpromneft-ITO, Transneft, Cyberprotect, IBS, T1 and Astra Group, Andrey Vratsky explored topical questions:
- Who should pay for software modifications, and is customization always necessary?
- In-house development or outsourcing: where are the boundaries of efficiency?
- Platformization: a driver of development or a new barrier to competition?
- What should software vendors prioritize: entering export markets immediately or meeting domestic demand first?
- Replacing IT solutions without halting production: should existing processes be preserved or rebuilt for a new architecture?
