PhosAgro Selects eXpress Platform for Corporate Communications

To share:

PhosAgro Group, one of the world's leading producers of phosphorus-based fertilizers, has switched to the Russian-based eXpress secure platform for internal communications. This move is part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the company's information security and achieve complete technological independence. As of November 2025, more than 7,000 employees are using the system, with plans to expand to 10,000 users.

Project Goals

The company previously used Microsoft Teams, but following the sanctions, it was forced to seek a replacement. PhosAgro sought to standardize employee interaction processes and ensure a high level of corporate data protection while complying with Russian law. The main objectives of the project were:

  • Completely replace foreign tools for video conferencing, instant messaging, and file sharing.
  • Integrate a unified communications platform with the company's current IT systems.
  • Simplify internal workflows and improve their efficiency.
  • Create reliable data protection that eliminates the risk of leaks.

Implementation Stages

The project began in 2023 with the launch of a pilot version of the platform. After successful testing and implementation, the solution was scaled up to cover the entire company. As a result, employees received a modern tool that combined key features for effective collaboration:

  • Messenger with the ability to create channels, discussions, and add reactions.
  • Video conferencing supporting over 250 participants with encrypted connections.
  • Secure file sharing using private channels.
  • Intuitive interface on both mobile devices and PCs.

Results of eXpress implementation in the PhosAgro Group

  • Implementation of the platform provided complete control over corporate data due to its deployment on the company's servers.
  • SmartApps, primarily Mail and Calendar, played a key role, providing secure mobile access to corporate services.
  • A unique data exchange protocol enabled secure interaction with partners using trusted corporate servers.
  • The high level of security was confirmed by FSTEC of Russia certification at level 4.

"Implementation of the eXpress platform was an important step in ensuring the company's technological independence. Domestic developers offer flexible and adaptable solutions that fully meet our needs. This allowed us to select a product that provides a high level of security and operational efficiency."

Denis Novikov

CEO of JSC Apatit (PhosAgro Group)

"Companies for which data protection is critical are increasingly choosing Russian solutions. Deploying the platform within the corporate infrastructure has become the standard for ensuring security. Data can only be trusted by proven products that meet high information security requirements and have a proven track record of implementation at large enterprises.
