Employees of the Coffeemania restaurant chain moved to eXpress

The company "Kofemaniya" transferred corporate communications and business processes to the corporate platform eXpress. The first users of the superapp were 300 employees of the company's back office. Currently, the company is working on connecting all employees, about five thousand people, to eXpress.

Before migrating to a domestic solution, the customer used the ZOOM videoconferencing tool and the Telegram messenger. However, the foreign ZOOM had previously restricted access for some Russian organizations and could stop providing its services to Russia at any time, and Telegram, being a public tool, could not guarantee the necessary level of personal data protection. In this regard, it was decided to search for a corporate platform that would meet the company's information security requirements and allow for the deployment of a fully functional communication environment in the internal circuit. In addition, it is important for the customer's business to communicate with external users: contractors, counterparties, employees with shift work.

Testing of the communication platform began back in 2023 in cooperation with the Oxygen data center network operator. The decisive factors in choosing eXpress were the availability of an on-premise solution, ease of deployment on the company's servers, and the data protection mechanisms implemented in the super app.

By choosing eXpress, the Coffee Mania network, on the one hand, ensured independence from foreign public messengers and video conferencing systems, and on the other, brought its corporate infrastructure to a new level. As a result, Coffee Mania employees now have access to all the functions of a modern corporate messenger: personal and group chats, channels with reactions and threads, large video calls with the ability to record, file and document exchange, chat bots, and smart apps. The company is also setting up integration with internal IP telephony for calls to internal numbers from any device – smartphone, tablet or computer – with eXpress installed on it.

The customer is also studying the capabilities of smart apps based on eXpress, and ideas for new functions and integrations are being discussed. Among the ideas for implementation is the “Shift Exchange” of “Kofemaniya” waiters for the efficient organization of the work of employees in restaurants.
