On November 1, the main IT event of the year took place - CNews Forum 2023: Information technologies tomorrow. As part of the forum, eXpress received the “VKS of the Year” award.
The eXpress corporate communications and mobility platform was the first not only in Russia, but also in the world to make video conferencing fully distributed, that is, it created the Video Conferencing Federation, adding this function to the eXpress Chat Federation. Its uniqueness and convenience lies in the fact that video conferences are held simultaneously on all servers of all participants without additional settings or technical cascades. This is a technological breakthrough among conferencing systems.
Andrey Vratsky, CEO of eXpress, received the award. He also spoke at the plenary session of the forum, where he highlighted global trends in the development of corporate communications:
- more and more UC vendors around the world are including videoconferencing in their platforms;
- narrowly functional videoconferencing services, primarily foreign ones, are leaving the market;
- businesses need all-in-one tools, including videoconferencing, chats, a single window for business processes and mobility.
Andrei Vratsky assessed the situation on the Russian market of communication platforms positively, since Russian products are already ahead of Microsoft products of ten years ago in quality and convenience and understand what needs to be done to compete with modern foreign services.
The future of communications, according to the expert, belongs to superapps. Moreover, they should be further developed - expanding the functionality for field employees, adding services for individual departments and managers.
The eXpress information stand was open all day at the forum, which was visited by the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev at the beginning of the day. At the stand, event participants got acquainted with the capabilities of the super application and could receive up-to-date advice.
CNews Forum, an annual independent platform for dialogue between business, IT suppliers and the government, this year brought together more than 1,000 CIOs of Russian enterprises, government departments and representatives of the country's leading ICT companies.
