In 2022, many companies were faced with the fact that foreign instant messengers and corporate communication platforms began to leave the Russian market. Software distributor MONT also encountered this problem. At the same time, the company’s management decided to switch to a domestic corporate communications platform, which would allow secure and mobile communication within the company. At the same time, the Russian platform had to meet a number of criteria and have the functionality that the company’s employees were accustomed to when working with MS Teams.
What were the challenges?
It was important for the customer to find an integrated solution that would include not only convenient use, but also maximum efficiency and safety.
The future enterprise platform had to provide three necessary functions:
- chat for effective communication within the company and prompt exchange of information with all team members;
- video conferencing and telephony, since in the era of remote work these capabilities become critical for effectively building work processes and interacting with colleagues and partners;
- Collaborate with files in real time, which is much faster than via email.
The key selection factor for the customer was information security. The eXpress corporate platform fully met all the criteria and solved the assigned tasks: eXpress has built-in information security and data protection mechanisms, is convenient and functional, and provides comfortable, secure interaction both within the company and with contractors and partners who have the application installed (even in the free version). versions).
Project implementation
At the first stage, the platform was tested by 30 employees of the MONT IT department. This made it possible to identify the main advantages and capabilities of the platform, as well as to receive feedback from specialists working in the technical field.
The next step was the transition to the platform of a pilot group of MONT specialists, which included 100 people. This stage allowed us to evaluate the functionality of the system in more detail in a real-life operating environment. The test month confirmed that all the functions declared by the developer work stably and efficiently.
The final stage of transferring the entire MONT team to the eXpress platform took less than a month. In a short period of time, 500 company employees became active users of the system, fully integrating into the new communication format.
Results and development of the project
The necessary capabilities were successfully implemented within the established time frame, which the customer had managed to get used to while using Microsoft Teams. The successful experience of implementing eXpress at MONT emphasizes the importance of thorough testing and step-by-step transition to new information platforms.
In the future, MONT may introduce smartapps and chatbots. In particular, specialists are testing the integration of the eXpress chatbot with the company’s internal Service Desk system for registering requests from users.
MONT notes that the transition to the eXpress platform made it possible to maintain established communication within the company and stay in touch regardless of location and device used.
