Sergey Artemov, director for development of the eXpress corporate communications and mobility platform, commented for Rossiyskaya Gazeta on the results of a study of the innovative activities of Russian companies by the Institute for Statistical Research and Economics of Knowledge at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
According to the study, the total amount of expenses of Russian companies on innovation activities reached 2.7 trillion rubles compared to 2.4 trillion rubles in 2021. New measures to support organizations creating or using domestic software contributed to an increase in costs for the development and acquisition of programs by 98 percent compared to 2021 and by 18 percent for the acquisition of rights to the results of intellectual activity necessary for the restructuring of information systems and business processes.
Sergey Artemov, development director of the eXpress corporate communications and mobility platform, commented on the results of the study:
“Innovation activity is growing in all sectors of the Russian economy. According to our observations, this is happening at the fastest pace in the energy sector and heavy industry. A striking example of this is the implementation of modern secure corporate superapps based on the eXpress platform in corporations such as Rosatom and Norilsk Nickel.
It is important to understand that the better senior management understands the role of information technology and innovation in business processes, how much they can be accelerated and improved, the easier it is to switch to modern solutions. The state has created all the conditions for this; regulators have said their word for the coming year. The task of IT directors and digitalization directors is precisely to immerse themselves in business processes and convey to management the predicted effectiveness of the implementation of digital innovations. And it is no longer advisable to sit and wait for a favorable situation - IT is developing very quickly.”
